You can hire electric bikes at the main entrance to the Hoge Kempen National Park, known as the National Park Visitor Centre. The Visitor Centre is located at Zetellaan 54, 3630 Maasmechelen (you can park on Zetellaan 35) and has the following opening hours:
from April to September: open daily from 10.00 to 18.00
from October to March: open daily from 10.00 to 17.00

- We rent out our electric bikes to people aged 16 and over.
- Bookings can be cancelled up to 48 hours in advance, after which we will issue a refund. A service charge of 10 euros will always be deducted per item booked in the event of cancellation. You can cancel by emailing .
- Please always return the bike half an hour before closing time.
- Optional extras: child seat, pannier, battery charger, buy a cycle map
- Getting a helmet when hiring bikes is no problem at all; you can simply ask for one at the counter when you collect the bike(s).
- The battery has a range of between 45km and 115km. How long you can cycle on your electric bike depends on the battery’s range and external conditions. These include your riding style, your total weight, whether you’re cycling on flat roads or in the mountains, how much motor assistance you need, and which gears you use.

Cycling routes from the National Park Visitor Centre
We have worked out three bike routes that start and end at the bike rental point at the National Park Visitor Centre. You park your car in our large free car park, pick up your reserved bike at the National Park Visitor Center, and set off. After the bike tour, you return, hand in your bike, and enjoy yourself. It couldn't be easier!
