Explore Hoge Kempen National Park by bike and collect stamps in your passport
To mark the 20th anniversary of the Hoge Kempen National Park, there’s a fun promotion running this summer with the National Park Passport. Until 30 September 2026, you can set off on a journey of discovery to ten destinations in the National Park.
Hop on your bike, visit the various destinations, collect stamps in your passport and be in with a chance of winning one of twenty unique prizes. Along the way, you’ll discover the National Park’s most beautiful landscapes, special spots and surprising cycling experiences.
Three cycle loops have been mapped out especially for this campaign. Be sure to choose the route that suits you best.
TIP: Be sure to check the opening hours of the destinations you want to visit in advance and adjust your route accordingly!
Passport Loop: 10 destinations (108 km)
Would you like to collect all 10 stamps? Then the Grand Tour is the ultimate challenge. On this route of around 108 km, you’ll discover the most beautiful spots in the Hoge Kempen National Park.
Along the way, you’ll enjoy two unique cycling experiences:
- Cycling amongst the mine terrils (between junctions 566 and 502)
- Cycling through the heathland (between junctions 551 and 550)

Passport Loop: 5 destinations – North (43 km)
Would you like to collect 5 stamps for your National Park Passport in a relaxed way? Then the Northern Passport Loop is the ideal choice. During this cycle route of around 43 km, you’ll cycle past 5 destinations where you can have your passport stamped.
Along the way, you’ll also enjoy one of the unique cycling experiences offered by Hoge Kempen National Park:

Passport Loop: 7 destinations – South (70 km)
Fancy a sporty day trip? Then the ‘Paspoortlus South’ is the ideal choice. On this route of around 70 km, you’ll cycle through the southern part of the Hoge Kempen National Park. Along the way, you’ll pass various checkpoints where you can get your National Park Passport stamped. This loop also allows you to collect 7 stamps for your passport.
